Amore Beds Foam Flippable Mattress
Construction
- There are 10 layers in this mattress, two of each on either side, which is what makes this mattress 100% flippable. One side offers a firmer mattress and the other offers more of a comfortable hug.
- The first and tenth layer is an organic cotton fabric that has a luxuriously comfortable feel to it. It’s a soft, hypoallergenic, and fully breathable material.
- The second and ninth layer is an organic wool blend, which is fire resistant without any harmful chemicals in it.
- The third and eighth layer is the FusionFlex proprietary comfort foam. This foam is made from technology developed by Amore Beds and offers a cool sleep with superior spinal alignment and relief of pressure points, as listed by our Amore Beds all-foam mattress review.
- The fourth and seventh layer is hyper-contouring open-cell transition foam. This layer is important because it makes the shift from the comfort layers to the firmer, more supportive layers.
- Finally, there’s the high-resilience core construction. This layer is extremely durable and gives this mattress its supportive structure.
Firmness
With this mattress, you can choose your preferred level of firmness. On one side, this flippable mattress is more firm with added structural support for those who need it. The other side, however, offers a more comfortable hug, while keeping the spine aligned and alleviating pressure points. As far as flippable mattress brands go, this one offers a good deal of firmness on either side.
Comfort
Depending on which side of the mattress you choose to face upwards, the level of comfort changes. Of course, one side has more of a softer hug and the other is a little firmer. However, both sides are made from comfortable materials that will help you sleep well.
There’s very little sinkage, even after quite some time has passed. And both sides offer great support that helps alleviate pressure points so you don’t wake up sore.
Temperature Neutrality
If you sleep hot, you’ll enjoy the cooling materials used in this foam mattress. According to our Amore Beds comparison to other brands, we believe this bed to have adequate temperature neutrality. It isn’t superior enough to keep people who suffer from night sweats from feeling warm during the night, but it’s enough to stop the average person from sleeping hot.
Edge Support
For a foam mattress, this model has relatively good edge support. You won’t want to sleep too close to the edge; however, if you do, you won’t feel like you’re hanging off the edge of the bed. It’s enough that you’ll still feel comfortable even if you’re sleeping on your side near the edge.
Motion Transfer
There’s very little motion transfer in this mattress, say many Amore Beds reviews. If you sleep with a partner who is restless in their sleep, you’ll still be able to sleep comfortably. If your partner gets up in the night, you may feel something, but it probably won’t be enough to wake you unless you’re an incredibly light sleeper.
Pros:
- Minimal motion transfer
- Good temperature neutrality
- Choice between the firm or soft side of the mattress
- Great value for money
- Quality materials
Cons:
- Can’t flip mattress for maintenance
- Imperfect edge support
- Sleepers have to choose between soft and firm
Amore Beds Hybrid Mattresses
There are three different types of hybrid mattresses from Amore Beds listed in our Amore hybrid beds reviews:
- The Amore Natural
- The Luxury Hybrid
- The Hybrid Coil
Construction
Amore Natural Mattress
- The organic cotton used in this mattress is soft and environmentally friendly, and it keeps moisture away from your body.
- The organic wool is fire-safe without using any harmful chemicals.
- The next layer is durable and bouncy thanks to the latex, which is made naturally from the sap of the rubber tree.
- There’s also an 8″ layer of individually wrapped coils, which offer superior support as each coil is tuned to offer comfort and alleviate pressure points.
Amore Luxury Hybrid Mattress
- You can choose between two cover layers for this mattress: a GOTS organic cotton or a copper-ion fabric cover. Both are comfortable, breathable, soft, and hypoallergenic, according to many Amore Beds luxury hybrid mattress customer reviews.
- Then you get the GOTS organic wool blend, which is fire-safe without using any harmful chemicals.
- The third layer is made up of 3″ of GOLS organic Dunlop soothing latex.
- The fourth layer is hyper-contouring open-cell transition foam.
- The coil later is made up of 6″ of individually wrapped coils with reinforced edge support.
- The final layer is an ultra-supportive breathable foam base.
Amore Hybrid Coil Mattress
- This has many of the same layers as the Luxury Hybrid, so we’ll only be listing the different layers in our Amore Beds review of the Hybrid Coil.
- To start, there’s the FusionFlex proprietary comfort foam, which cools the bed and wicks moisture.
- There’s also graphite-infused memory foam for premium alleviation of pressure points in the body.
- And finally, this mattress includes high-density support foam, which gives added support to the spine and minimizes motion transfer.
Firmness
These three mattresses offer a firm feel that helps soothe any pressure on the spine during sleep. The memory foam in these mattresses allows for slight body contouring, and yet they’re firm enough that your body won’t leave a dent. The coils offer enough spring that you won’t have a problem getting out of bed in the morning.
Comfort
You will find minimal sinkage in these mattresses, as was our finding in these Amore Beds reviews. Even after years of use, you’ll find very little sinkage in your mattress. Furthermore, you’ll find superior support in all three of these products. You won’t ever wake up feeling sore from pressure points in your body.
Temperature Neutrality
The temperature neutrality in these mattresses is great. You won’t sleep hot on these products. They incorporate cooling materials in their layering, so you won’t sleep too warm. You also won’t, on the other hand, sleep too cool during the colder months.
Edge Support
In our Amore Beds mattress review, we claim that the edge support on the hybrid mattresses from Amore Beds is perfect. You’ll feel like you have a larger surface to sleep on as there’s no sinkage or slack on the sides. For people who like to sleep on their sides near the edge of the bed, these mattresses are perfect.
Motion Transfer
There’s little-to-no motion transfer in these mattresses. You’ll easily be able to sleep with a partner and rest easy, even if they’re getting in and out of bed and moving around. This makes any of these three models a great choice for couples.
You won’t have to worry about your bed partner moving about or going to bed at different times than you. This is definitely a benefit we want to highlight in our Amore mattress review.
Pros:
- Superior edge support
- Great temperature neutrality
- Minimal motion transfer
- Affordable
- Quality materials
Cons:
- May not last as long as you’d want
- Still has quite a bit of bounce
Durability and Maintenance
These Amore mattress models are made of durable materials and will likely last as long as their warranties cover. The flippable bed comes with a warranty of 10 years, and the hybrid mattresses come with a 20-year warranty. These mattresses are durable, but they won’t last a lifetime. However, given how affordable they are, that’s a poor reason to not invest in one.
As for maintenance, you won’t be able to flip any of these mattresses. The flippable mattress has different firmness levels on each side. However, the hybrid mattresses are layered specifically for comfort, so you don’t want to flip them.
You can, however, rotate these mattresses from head to toe once every three months. As a note, you might want to consider a mattress protector if you’re worried about spills or wear and tear.
