Overview of the Buffy Comforters

There are two types of Buffy comforters that we’ll be looking at in our Buffy comforter reviews. These are the Buffy Cloud Comforter and the Buffy Breeze Comforter. They come in three sizes: twin/twin XL, full/queen, and king/California king.

These comforters are known to be earth-friendly and cruelty-free, which is a great alternative to the down comforters you often find in stores. These products are advertised as being useful during all seasons and comfortable year-round.

Even as they become more and more popular, there’s still only one option when it comes to color and design. You can only purchase the Buffy Cloud and Buffy Breeze in white.

The Buffy Breeze

Material

Our Buffy Breeze comforter review found that this comforter is made from Buffy’s famous eucalyptus-based fabric and is sewn using thread that’s 100% recycled. The eucalyptus is harvested directly from regenerative forests in both the Czech Republic and Austria. Eucalyptus is incredibly environmentally friendly since it uses 10 times less water to create than cotton does.

The inner of the Buffy Breeze is made out of the same material as the outer cover. This is a eucalyptus-based lyocell that’s eco-friendly and has many health benefits, which are listed in multiple Buffy comforter reviews.

Feel

The feel of this Buffy Breeze comforter is cooling and comforting. It’s breathable and designed to help you sleep cool, especially in hotter climates. The eucalyptus offers a refreshing feel that you won’t get from other materials. It’s unique and feels unlike anything you’ve slept with before, according to Buffy Breeze Comforter reviews. If you’re a hot sleeper, we suggest you pair it with one of the best cooling pillows and enjoy a great night’s sleep.

Pros:

  • Cooling feel
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Quality craftsmanship
  • Resistant to mold and dust mites
  • Lightweight yet comforting

Con:

  • Expensive for a comforter
  • Without air conditioning it may not be as effective in the summer
  • Only comes in white
  • Dry-clean only

The Buffy Cloud

Material

The Buffy Cloud comforter has a similar outer cover to the Buffy Breeze. The fabric is made from eucalyptus sewn with polyester thread that’s entirely recycled. This is a cooling fabric that is both eco-friendly and good for your health.

But what makes this comforter different to the Buffy Breeze, according to our Buffy Cloud comforter review, is what’s inside. The inner layer is made up of around 50 recycled plastic bottles that have been turned into a fluffy filling that’s surprisingly comfy and soft.

Feel

The feel of the cover is soft and cooling due to the refreshing use of eucalyptus. And the inside is fluffy and comfy, offering substance to the comforter. Buffy reviews of this comforter note that it’s less cooling than some other products, so it isn’t specifically meant for people who sleep hot. However, it’s a good blanket for people who sleep at a regular temperature. It’s also incredibly lightweight, so it really does feel like you’re sleeping underneath a cloud. If you enjoy a cozy and fluffy feel, you should also take a look at some of the best down pillows.

Pros:

  • Eco-friendly
  • The eucalyptus feels fresh on your skin
  • Made with care
  • Resistant to mold and dust mites
  • Lightweight yet comforting, according to Buffy eucalyptus comforter reviews

Cons:

  • Expensive for a comforter
  • Must be dry-cleaned
  • No choice of color
  • Gets a bit hot if you use a duvet cover

Durability and Maintenance

As far as durability goes, one of these comforters should last a decent amount of time if you take care of it right. However, one of the problems is that they’re less effective if you put a duvet cover over the eucalyptus cover.

Without a duvet cover to protect it, the white comforter can easily become dirty or damaged, say negative Buffy comforter reviews. If you could machine wash this comforter, none of this would be a problem. However, these comforters need to be dry-cleaned, and that’s difficult to do regularly as it can become expensive, especially with a large queen- or king-size comforter.

Trial Period and Return Policy

The trial period can be a little confusing, especially if you’ve been reading other Buffy comforter reviews. This is because many reviews talk about a 30-day trial period that starts when you make your purchase.

However, this is now advertised as a seven-day trial period to test out the product, probably because people were complaining that the trial started upon purchase and not delivery. You still have 30 days from purchase to return the item, but they call it a seven-day trial due to the fact that the comforter won’t be in your possession for the full 30 days.

To be prepared, you should know that they put a hold on your card when you make the purchase and then charge you when you decide to keep it. The hold, according to reviews of the Buffy comforter, is to ensure that the funds are there and the card works. The money will initially be taken from your account and then returned, which could take one or two days, depending on your bank.

Returning your comforter is simple, and you don’t need a refund because they won’t charge you if you return it before the seven-day trial is over. However, if you return it after seven days but before the 30 days since your purchase, you’ll get a refund.

Shipping Options

We want to say in our Buffy comforter review that shipping is simple and quick. Generally, orders can be shipped as soon as the following day. You’ll get an email with your tracking information, and you’ll be able to check on the progress of your delivery.

Shipping within the continental US, as well as Alaska and Hawaii, is absolutely free. If you want your Buffy comforter shipped to Canada, that’s not a problem, but you’ll be charged a shipping fee. Buffy uses FedEx to deliver all packages locally, unless they’re set to be delivered to a P.O. Box, in which case they’ll be shipped with UPS and may take up to 10 business days.

Warranty

As we determined in our reviews of each Buffy comforter, all Buffy products are protected by a limited lifetime warranty that covers any defects that are the fault of the materials, craftsmanship, or manufacturing process. If you have any issues with your Buffy comforter, you can contact the company at [email protected] to sort out the issue.

Prices

For the Buffy Breeze comforter, you’ll pay between $179 and $259, depending on the size you need for your bed. And you’ll pay between $129 and $199 for a Buffy Cloud comforter.

Keep an eye out for any discounts on Buffy’s products on the website. Alternatively, you should also look around online for promo codes and coupons that can help you pay less for one of these comforters.

FAQs

Is a Buffy comforter worth it?

It depends on what you’re looking for in a comforter. If it matters to you that it’s eco-friendly and vegan, then you won’t find another comforter like this. The Buffy Breeze is also cooler than other comforters, especially if you use it in conjunction with an air conditioner during the summer months.

Can you wash a Buffy comforter?

You can spot-clean it by hand at home, but it isn’t machine-washable. You need to have it dry cleaned professionally.

Is the Buffy comforter non-toxic?

Yes, it’s made of natural fibers made from eucalyptus. These fibers are OEKO-TEX certified. It’s important to note, however, that the Buffy Cloud is filled with threading made from recycled plastic bottles and therefore does have plastic inside.

Can you put a duvet cover on a Buffy comforter?

You can indeed put a duvet cover on a Buffy comforter. This helps to keep it clean, especially as the comforter is white and not machine-washable. However, you won’t feel the cooling effects of the eucalyptus fiber used in the cover. Thus, with a duvet cover, you may find that the comforter sleeps a bit hot.

How do you care for a Buffy comforter?

You can spot clean it by hand at home. But a thorough cleaning needs to be done through dry cleaning since you can’t wash it at home in your machine, according to Buffy comforter reviews
