Naturepedic Mattress Reviews

Naturepedic has many different types of organic and environmentally friendly mattresses. We will be looking at the different types of mattresses and highlight their features.

Chorus & Serenade Collection

These mattresses make the most of the organic materials used to create them. The Chorus & Serenade collection is a selection of two mattresses that are well-known to all Naturepedic fans:

  • The Chorus
  • The Serenade

The Chorus mattress is made up of five layers, including the quilted cover, 1.5″ microcoil comfort layer, 8″ encased coils with edge support, the organic cotton batting, and the encasement made from organic cotton and cotton filling.

According to Naturepedic Chorus mattress reviews, this mattress offers universal comfort in all its simplicity. This is the starter mattress in this collection, and each mattress is handcrafted to perfection.

As far as firmness goes, this mattress is a medium, meaning it works for most people. It has great edge support and minimal motion transfer. If you purchase this mattress, it could take years before you experience any sinkage.

The Serenade mattress is the luxury mattress in this range. It has all the comfort of the Chorus mattress, but it’s been taken up a notch. It has the same five layers as the Chorus, but it also has the added benefit of an extra comfort layer made up of 2″ of latex.

Listed in our Naturepedic organic mattress review, the latex layer is made from an organic latex that’s made from the sap of the rubber tree. This material is both temperature neutral and extremely breathable, ensuring that you don’t sleep hot while on this mattress.

EOS Collection

EOS stands for “ergonomic organic sleep,” and that’s exactly what you’ll get with this collection of mattresses, according to Naturepedic EOS reviews. These mattresses are fully customizable and offer an incredibly comfortable night’s sleep. This collection includes the following mattresses:

  • The Classic
  • The Pillowtop
  • The Trilux

The Classic Mattress

The Classic mattress in the EOS collection has five layers, including the quilted cover, a 3″ latex comfort layer, 8″ of encased coils with edge support, organic cotton batting, and an encasement layer made up of organic cotton fabric, organic cotton fill, and a solid brass zipper.

Our Naturepedic EOS review found that this mattress sleeps cool, has incredible edge support, and has minimal motion transfer due to the individually encased coils (which don’t use any glues). The latex is fully organic and made from the sap of the rubber tree. You will get very little sinkage on this mattress, even though it does offer you a comfortable hug.

The Pillowtop Mattress

The Pillowtop mattress in the EOS collection has the additional layer of an attached pillowtop encasement made from organic cotton fabric, organic cotton fill, and a solid brass zipper. This layer is sandwiched between two 3″ organic latex comfort layers. The Classic, according to our Naturepedic EOS mattress review, only has one 3″ latex comfort layer.

You’ll find that because of the additional pillowtop encasement and extra organic latex layer, there’s an added level of comfort. Plus, you’ll still find that this mattress has exceptional edge support and minimal motion transfer. This mattress is thicker than the Classic, but it still offers support where it matters, especially around pressure points in your body.

The Trilux Mattress

The Trilux mattress offers superior support as it has three 3″ layers of organic latex wrapped in an organic cotton material, as demonstrated in official Naturepedic EOS mattress reviews. Altogether, that’s 9″ of latex to add extra support for pressure points in the body.

The added support with the three layers of organic latex makes this a firmer mattress to sleep on, yet it still offers enough comfort to help you ease into a good night’s sleep. You’ll find that even after using the mattress for a long period of time, it doesn’t sink. The edge support is great, and there’s limited motion transfer, which is good for those who sleep with a partner.

Halcyon Collection

The Halcyon Collection offers a range of three different mattresses. All of these mattresses have a 500-thread-count organic sateen top quilt that’s filled with alpaca, organic wool, and cashmere. You can only purchase these mattresses in-store, as we found in our Naturepedic mattress review.

The collection includes the Azure, which stands at 10″, the Arcadia, which stands at 13″, and the Elysium, which stands at 16″. All three mattresses offer superior comfort and are made with care and all-organic materials to ensure that the products are eco-friendly and as green as possible.

Kids’ Mattresses

These organic mattresses for kids are made using only the most natural and organic materials. They’re created to be the perfect firmness and comfort for growing bodies. With these mattresses in their bedrooms, your little ones will look forward to bedtime. The kids’ mattresses come in the following options:

  • The 2-in-1 Organic Kids Mattress
  • The Verse Organic Kids Mattress

Our Naturepedic review found that the 2-in-1 Organic Kids mattress contains six layers. These include a quilted cover made from organic cotton fabric and PLA, a 1″ organic cotton comfort layer, 7″ of a premium innerspring unit, a second 1″ organic cotton comfort layer, an encasement made of organic cotton fabric and fill, and a waterproof surface on the bottom.

The Verse mattress for kids works for young children and those who are a little older, if you look at these Naturepedic mattresses’ reviews. It’s made of layers that include a quilted cover made from organic cotton, wool batting, and a PLA comfort layer; a 1″ organic cotton comfort layer; 7″ of encased coils with edge support; organic cotton batting; and an encasement made of organic cotton fabric and fill.

The Verse has fewer layers than the 2-in-1 mattress, meaning that the latter is a little more firm than the Verse. The Verse, on the other hand, can last a child for many years as they grow.

Crib Mattresses

The mattress your baby first sleeps on is super important. You want them to be fully supported while being comfortable enough to sleep through the night. You also want a crib mattress that’s made out of materials that aren’t harmful to your baby in any way. Our Naturepedic crib mattress review shows how these products are perfect for little ones while protecting them from any harmful chemicals.

Naturepedic’s selection of crib mattresses include the following:

  • The Classic
  • The Breathable
  • The Ultra Breathable

The Classic crib mattress has a wipe-clean surface that makes cleaning this crib mattress super easy. It also has a lightweight or 150-coil support to ensure that your baby’s body is fully supported. You can also choose between single or 2-stage dual firmness.

The Breathable crib mattress has a removable, washable, breathable surface that’s also waterproof, which you can easily take off to clean. It has a lightweight or 252-coil support and 2-stage dual firmness to ensure that your baby is supported throughout the night.

According to many Naturepedic organic cotton crib mattress reviews, the Ultra Breathable crib mattress has a removable, washable, breathable surface that’s thicker than the others and is quilted using designer fabric. You can easily remove this to clean. Then there’s a lightweight or 252-coil support and 2-stage dual firmness.

Durability and Maintenance

These mattresses are durable, for the most part, say many Naturepedic mattress reviews. If you take care of your Naturepedic mattress, it should last for at least a decade.

The different mattresses carry different warranties. The Chorus adult mattress has a 10-year warranty, so the bed is expected to last for 10 years. The rest of the adult mattresses have a 20-year warranty. The kids’ mattresses are expected to last around a decade, and the crib mattresses have a lifetime warranty, so they should last for as long as your child needs it.

Seeing as these mattresses are layered in a specific order to give you the ideal amount of support and comfort, you should never flip them, according to our Naturepedic organic mattress review. However, you should consider turning the mattress 180 degrees (from head to toe) every three months.

If you’re worried about spills or wear and tear, you may want to consider a mattress protector. For any spills on a mattress without a waterproof surface, try to clean it with rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. Your mattress should also rest on a base and not directly on the floor since it isn’t intended to be a floor mattress
